Nice Spot

A couple weekends ago I found myself with some time to spare on the way back from Taupo. After wandering into the local Tokoroa info centre the friendly lady suggested a few options for me to have a nosey.

She recommended a nice spot called the Te Waihou walkway which was on the way towards Tirau.
Anyway I decided to have a look and I'm glad I did. What a beaut day it was.

Apparently these springs are where heaps of our bottled water comes from. I can see why - it really is just so crystal clear. It's such a peaceful place. I managed to find myself a good spot to have some moments. I've been keeping a journal recently and I took some time to write a few thoughts. I was also inspired, so I even decided to attempt some drawing/sketching :) Its a good thing no one else will ever have to see it ;) But still, it reminded me how much I love to draw...
It's a nice easy walk too, you don't have to be a hard out mountain man or anything.

Also, I've been biking to work a bit recently which has been real awesome (kinda wondered why it took me so long to try it actually!).

Amusing story: One morning I felt like something different from the usual breakfast, so I decided to get some Maccas - and rather than the hassle of locking the bike up etc, I biked through the drive through :)
It was pretty funny, the girl on the intercom was like, "drive, errr I mean, bike, on through!" and she had a cute smile as I biked round to pay and pick up my breakfast combo :) I think I might have made her day!

Just need to figure out a better way to deal with the drink since its not that easy to bike with it....

Take your own drink bottle? & say easy on the ice - maybe no ice! LY

Yeah that's a good point - should have just passed on the drink. But it was a Macca combo, so it would be weird not having the drink, although I will definitely try that next time.

Just say, I'm refuelling - One Macca combo & here's my own drink bottle to fill, no ice, no straw, thanks. :)
