Anyway, the noise was been making me a bit self-conscious of using the brakes, which was probably a bit of a safety issue too. If I was near people/birds/animals and had to brake they'd all run away in fright. Okay, so maybe the people didn't run away, but they did give me sudden puzzled glances as I interrupted their enjoyment of the countryside.
Since I know you're itching to know, this is where I went:

My bike and gear on the end of the peninsula.
It was a great track on predominantly farmland with a bushy bit near the end. Lots of hills which were sometimes a bit steep for my bike (she still needs a bit more practice) so I pushed her up, as well as fences which she hasn't learnt to jump over yet (so I carried her). it had been raining a bit so it was a bit boggy in parts but I'm a Mountainbiker so I'm not scared of mud (although I'm still not a fan or those deposits that farm animals leave behind. Anyway we still had an awesome time :)
Don't fall in!
The Tawharanui Conquerors.
My bike and I :)
My bike and I :)
Gotta look after her (there was lots of cow and sheep poos to be removed)
I think I now have the biking bug... I've even signed up for a 50km event over Rangitoto and Motutapu islands next year - The Dual, as well as an Adventure race with Katie in November (which will have running and water components as well). Gotta get training!

So she's definitely a girl? You better double check (the 'girly bits' by the rear tyre).
Some suggestions:
-Bambi
-Dominator
-Tessa my favourite person
-GangGreen
-Axel
-Olga
Cheers. I quite like Bambi and Dominator with 'Tessa my favourite person' a close third - only problem with that name is its not really an appropriate name for a BIKE :P
Tessa my favourite bike
No, definitely still a bit too weird...since you have to, well, ride the bike. I'm going with Bambi. Although, umm, that still feels a bit weird.
I'm liking Bambi.... Coz deer are fast, evasive, and good at jumping over stuff! Much like me... but also qualities I would like to have in a bike.
how about Dino-rider1 & Dino-rider2 (get it?) or just dina-rida; Unc Gaz said he can take you riding when next in Chch. Also wanna do the Wanaka ride in April 09? c u soon LY
Ah yes, the dino-riders. I shall reminisce those days long past....
Yeah it'd be cool to go riding in Chch except I really, really need to get a bike bag to take my bike on the plane with me. This Wanaka ride sounds interesting, I will need to look it up.
Dino-bike? because technically Jono would be the actual dino-rider.
Hmmm, Dino-bike is pretty good...you like dinosaurs so, yeah :)
